DETEK China Exports State-of-the-Art Jumbo Insulating Glass Line to Cyprus, Empowering Local Manufacturer

JINAN, China – In a significant move for the Cypriot construction industry, DETEK Machinery, a leading Chinese manufacturer of glass processing equipment, has successfully shipped a fully automated jumbo insulating glass production line to a prominent glass fabricator in Cyprus.

The centerpiece of this export is a high-capacity machine specifically engineered to manufacture oversized insulating glass units (IGUs) with dimensions up to 3300mm x 6000mm. This capability will allow our customer to locally produce the large, high-performance glass panels demanded by modern architectural projects across the island and the wider region.

The turnkey solution supplied by DETEK includes automatic loading, precision spacer application, butyl sealing, and gas-filling systems, all designed for optimal efficiency and consistent output. The ability to handle such jumbo sizes is critical for creating seamless building facades, panoramic windows, and commercial structures that prioritize energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal.

“This shipment to Cyprus is a testament to our commitment to equipping glass manufacturers worldwide with robust and advanced technology,” said a spokesperson for DETEK. “By enabling local production of jumbo IGUs, we are helping our partners reduce lead times, control costs, and capture a growing market segment, all while meeting stringent European quality standards.”

The Cypriot client, a key player in the local glass processing industry, selected the DETEK line after a thorough international evaluation. The decision was driven by the machine’s reliability, competitive pricing, and DETEK’s strong technical support network.

This export underscores the growing global reach of China’s high-end manufacturing sector and represents a strategic upgrade for Cyprus’s industrial capabilities. The new production line is expected to be fully operational in the coming months, supplying the local construction industry with premium, made-in-Cypriot jumbo insulating glass.
